Heat Tape

We just placed an order for heat tape for our new rack. We also have a nice male Granite Ball Python coming to the collection this week. He weights 900G so he will be ready for this yrs breeding.
Ball Python Eggs Any Day Now!

Still waiting for eggs should be any day now! I am surprised she hasn't laid yet today makes day 31. Sometimes they like to play games with you.
Male Ball Python won't eat.

Males go off feed for anywhere from 2 to 6 months during breeding season. It's completely
normal. Keep offering him food every week. Once he's ready he will start eating again.
Eggs Due

Pre-lay Shed

Pastel is due to shed any day now! Getting close to the first clutch of 2012.
Getting Close

No eggs yet. But she's getting close. Should be any day now. First clutch due this month should hatch in April-May.
The Rats

Cleaned the Rats today. What a stinky, messy job. Glad to get it finished. Had a bad water bottle. Poor rats.
Gravid Female Pastel

The Gravid Female Pastel ate a small mouse today! I was supprised she hasn't been interested untill today. I guess she was a little hungry.
Woma Ball Python

My 2010 Female Woma Ball Python will be ready for breeding in 2013. She's currently weighing 1128G and steadly feeding on small rats. She will be moving up to medium rats come summer. I love raising snakes up from hatchlings to adults.
Sphagnum Moss

Female Pastel is now on a bed of Sphagnum Moss. She sure does like that! Now the wait begins. Should be right about Feb 14th.

We have a lock hoping for some Pastavies this year. This Pastel female has allready locked with the Spider too so we won't know who the sire is untill we gat some eggs and they incubate. Maybe we will get lucky and end up with a dubble sired clutch.
